SCS Annual Meeting 2027

Registration and Abstract Submission are now open

10 Years SCS: Building Surgery That Lasts

02–04 June 2027 | KKL Luzern

Preparations for the SCS – Swiss College of Surgeons Annual Meeting 2027 are moving forward – and two important milestones have now been reached: congress registration and abstract submission are officially open.

As we look ahead to celebrating 10 years of the Swiss College of Surgeons, we invite the surgical community to become part of this special anniversary meeting – whether by attending the congress, contributing scientific work or joining one of the upcoming educational activities.

Registration is now open

Registration for the SCS Annual Meeting 2027 is now available online. From 2 to 4 June 2027, the Swiss surgical community will once again come together at the KKL Luzern for three days of education, scientific exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The meeting will begin with a dedicated Course Day on Wednesday, followed by two congress days featuring scientific sessions, free communications, poster discussions, keynote lectures and opportunities for professional exchange.

Early registration is worthwhile: the Early Bird rate is available until 9 April 2027.

Three Weeks to go: EPA – Train the Trainers Workshop

Another important date is approaching: on 29 October 2026, the SCS will host the EPA – Train the Trainers Workshop: Enhancing Surgical Training Through Competency-Based Education at the Luzerner Kantonsspital (LUKS).

The one-day workshop is aimed at surgical specialists involved in training and supervising younger colleagues. Through practical exercises and case-based learning, participants will explore how Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) can be integrated into everyday surgical training.

The programme includes EPA-based supervision and assessment, effective feedback and clinical teaching as well as hands-on work with the PrEPAred App. Participants will also develop practical strategies for implementing competency-based education within their own departments.

Places are limited and early registration is recommended. scs-congress.ch
